George Quackenbush

Executive Director

George is responsible for administering the beef checkoff program and directing all activities of the MBIC, including planning, budgeting, staff and program oversight.  He serves as a spokesperson for the beef industry and maintains industry relations with media and producer groups.  In his free time, you will usually find George enjoying the outdoors or working at his family farm in Northeastern Michigan. 



Director of Promotions and consumer marketing

Emily is responsible for developing and organizing checkoff funded programs to promote beef and veal in the areas of retail, foodservice, classrooms, health and nutrition. She is a Michigan native who has had various roles and experiences throughout agriculture and the food industry.
